Nice double room, but Wi-Fi was unreliable due to thick walls.

Recommend it for solo travelers
The host was friendly and even showed me around, which made me feel right at home. I had an excellent steak for dinner, cooked just right, and the breakfast was a full Welsh that really fueled me for my hike up the mountains.
It wasn’t inexpensive but still acceptable.

Amazing location and food!
Stayed 1 night and loved it! The location is just epic, right next to great hikes like Cadair Idris. Had a fab Vegetarian Full English for brekkie—so good! Staff were super friendly too, but it was a bit crowded in the bar area during dinner time, which made it tricky to find a seat.

great food but dated decor
The room offered a spacious layout that allowed for easy movement. The food exceeded expectations, especially the variety of options for both breakfast and dinner.
The décor in the room felt quite dated.

The dining options were pure magic! We savored the evening lamb, bursting with flavor, and breakfast was a feast of fresh fruit and hearty Welsh delights. Plus, Gordon's excellent selection of local beers in the bar made for a cracking nightcap.
The room was a touch warmer than we'd like (it was a thundery day), but it didn’t dull the cozy vibes—perfect for unwinding after a day of adventuring.

the location is just perfect if ur into mountain walks or cycling tours. its right by cader idris which is amazin. gordon has a great selection of local beers n the food is super tasty, breakfast was spot on too. loved how comfy the room was, very clean and quiet. just the right place to chill after a day of adventure!
but there's no phone signal n the wifi is really hit or miss. also, no tvs in the room or bar area, which was a bit weird.
